Education plays a significant role to spend meaningful and determined life. Armed with education, one can definitely attain the mission and vision of purpose full life. Keeping in view, the dire need of education, the offspring and devotees of Hazrat Peer Syed Jamat Ali Shah Lasani (R.A) are promoting his mission to spread knowledge and awareness towards success (Both in Dunya & Akhirat). For this incredible mission, His offspring Hazrat Peer Syed Ismaeel Shah R. A dreamed to commence university in the name of Jamia Islamia Lasania in 2005.
This dream got practically implemented by His son Hazrat Peer Syed Karamat Ali Hussain Shah who took firm step and laid the foundation of Jamia Islamia Lasania on 27th July 2008. The mission of this Jamia is to provide spiritual insight among students while teaching them Islamic and modern education and to train Islamic scholars to promote knowledge, peace, love and harmony among all the segments of the society in accordance with the ideologies of our great sufi saints who have been presenting Islam in a remarkable way since long and have attracted the community towards Islam through their character based on moral and ethical standards. In order to strengthen and to proliferate the teachings of Quran & Hadith with the methodology of Sufi Saints and to guide masses spiritually and practically has been the prime focus for the graduates of this Jamia.
For this noble cause, the area 80 kanal land has been specified on the bank of Narowal Pasroor Road near Ali Pur Sydian Shareef. The Jamia got functional in 2008 with the clear vision that it would be a modern Islamic university in future to provide both modern and religious education to facilitate the society towards the real teachings of Islam.
During the second decade of this century, this institution enhanced its working (After its initial construction) towards the development of its two primary departments, Darse-e-nizami and Tehfeez-ul-Quran while providing all basic needs and facilitation. Later on, two major projects; Lasani Islamic School & Lasani Islamic College will be started for the unique addition of modern education (along with earlier two disciplines of Dars-e- Nizami and Tehfeez ul Quran) to fulfill the need of balanced education system(modern and religious).
Nowadays students are getting education in two domains under one roof: in modern section they are getting education from 6th to graduation as well as in Intermediate section of Lasani Islamic College, FSC (Medical & Non-Medical) & ICS is being offered. This College is focusing to start BS Programs in near future and it will be commenced on the foundations of morality, spiritualism and professionalism. Currently Sharia Department is planned that the discipline of Dars-e-Nizami will be upgraded up to specialization: Taksus-fil-fiqa, Taksus-fil-Altafseer and Taksus-Al-Hadith. In this way, this institution will be the distinguished institution regarding the specialization of the Islamic education. All the sources and endeavors will be used to get this institution a chartered university (Lasani Islamic University)
In the Complex of Jamia Islamia Lasania, the construction of the Jamia Masjid Quba was started in the year of 2009 which was completed in 2019. The first portion namely, Makhdoom Konain Auditorium of Masjid Quba was inaugurated in its basement after that ground floor and first floor were completed. This Mosque has a state of art architectural look with its distinctive themes and multiple sections. In its basement many other sections have been developed to launch Islamic research & spiritual training center, a Hall for religious seminars and workshops etc. Now this Masjid, besides, five time prayers, Namaz e Jummat-ul Mubarak is offered and imparting Islamic education too, Alhamdulillah,
The first Academic Block is under construction and the classes of Darse-e-Nizami (Sharia Department) Lasani Islamic College has shifted here in its sub portion. On the other hand, Tehfeez Ul Quran and Lasani Islamic School is functional in the basement as well as at the first floor of Quba Mosque.
The planned building is being constructed in accordance with the requirements of Higher Education Pakistan (HEC) Pakistan. The primary focus is to develop the infrastructure with complete planning and to develop state of the art buildings and soon this grand complex will consist on academic blocks, admin block, hostels, Jamia Masjid, Central library, staff colony, medical & sports Complex. The working of Jamia Islamia Lasania is in progress with directions of its Chief Executive Hazrat Peer Syed Karamat Ali Hussain Shah as well as the Advisory Board of this institution. The management of this institution always works with the guideline of the General Council of Khair ul Umam Foundation Pakistan.
